Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, the Executive Chairman of Atiba local government, Offa-meta, Oyo, has described the demise of the Iya Adinni of Oyoland, late Princess Alhaja Modinat Ajisafe as a colossal loss to Oyo Muslim Ummah, the Ladigbolu Royal House, the Imam Akeugberu’s family, and Oyo state in general.
Wabkem, in a condolence message made available to newsmen in Oyo, said the late Princess Alhaja Ajisafe was a respected mother figure in Oyo Alaafin; she was known for her kindness, humility, trustworthiness, generosity, and emotional intelligence while her death was left a huge vacuum in the town.
On behalf of the good people of the Royal Council, I commiserate with the family of the Late Alh Moshood Ajisafe over the demise of our renowned mother, Alhaja Modinat Ajisafe, who died yesterday, Sunday, 22nd December 2024, and was interred according to Islamic rites.
We mourn her passing, but we take solace in the fact that she lived a fulfilled life, impacting positively on the lives of many people in Oyo and the diaspora. We feel the pinch of her death and join the deceased family in grief and mourning. Adetunji said.
The Council Mayor, however, prayed that Allah grants Alhaja Ajisafe eternal rest and comforts her family and loved ones.
Her demise has been widely mourned by the people of Oyo State, who described her as a mother and a pillar of support. She was a staunch Muslim who devoted her life to the service of humanity.
May her eternal resting place be in Aljanah Firdous, and may those of us who remain find the strength to cope with this profound loss.
