The initiative is aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement, consolidating the party’s structures, reaching out to party members and residents, and taking the campaign message directly to communities through face-to-face interactions.

During the first phase of the Ibadan North-East tour, the team visited Wards 2, 3 and 1, where it engaged party leaders, stakeholders, market women, youths, residents and other members of the electorate.

The first point of call was Ward 2, Ogbori Efon, where the team received an impressive reception, with a large turnout of market women at Oranyan Market. The engagement attracted representatives of the President of the Gold Sellers’ Association, the Oranyan Market Youth Leader, various association representatives, party leaders and other community stakeholders.

One of the major highlights of the engagement was the expression of appreciation by residents to Hon. Engr. Remi Oseni for providing a transformer to their community, which they confirmed had been received the previous evening.

The residents also stressed the importance of keeping campaign promises and ensuring that communities continue to enjoy attention and development beyond election periods.

In her response, Hon. Farmer Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson assured the market women and other representatives of her commitment to sustained engagement, promising to pay them a courtesy visit to further strengthen the relationship and maintain an open channel of communication with the community.

The mobilisation team subsequently moved to Ward 3, Agbo-Ile Mato, where it was equally welcomed by a large gathering of residents and party faithful.

During the interaction, participants expressed their readiness to participate actively in the 2027 electoral process, while pledging their support for Hon. Engr. Remi Oseni and other APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

The final stop was Ward 1, Bayerunka Primary School, where the team also received a warm reception from residents, party members and community stakeholders.

Residents at the ward equally appreciated Hon. Engr. Remi Oseni for the transformer provided to their community, confirming that it had been received the previous evening. They also expressed their willingness to participate in the electoral process and support Hon. Engr. Remi Oseni and other APC candidates in 2027.

Addressing party members and stakeholders across the three wards, Hon. Farmer Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson urged them to intensify grassroots mobilisation and ensure that the party’s message reaches every household and community within their respective wards.

She called on members to remain committed to the mobilisation exercise and actively engage the electorate ahead of the 2027 general elections, particularly in canvassing support for Hon. Engr. Remi Oseni, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Sharafadeen Alli and other APC candidates.

She further underscored the importance of collective responsibility, consistency and continuous interaction with the electorate, noting that effective grassroots mobilisation goes beyond election periods and requires building lasting relationships with communities, listening to their concerns and responding to their needs.

Among the notable party leaders and stakeholders who participated in the ward-to-ward tour were Alhaja Asabi, Ibadan North-East APC Women Leader; Madam Diamond, Deputy Women Leader; Hon. Fasaso Ibrahim, Ibadan North-East APC Youth Leader; and Baale Moruf Oyebode, alongside other party leaders, stakeholders and members.
