The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, has congratulated Hon. Akinwale Akinwole Wolekanle on his appointment as the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
He described the appointment as a significant milestone that reflects the importance of experience, dedication and administrative leadership in the effective running of government affairs.
Hon. Akinleye expressed confidence that Wolekanle would bring his wealth of experience, administrative knowledge and commitment to public service to bear on his new assignment.
He noted that the position of Chief of Staff comes with enormous responsibilities, particularly in ensuring effective coordination of government activities, strengthening institutional collaboration and facilitating the smooth implementation of the governor’s policies and development programmes across the state.
The Akinyele council boss further observed that the office occupies a strategic position in the state government’s administrative structure, requiring diligence, sound judgment, effective communication and close collaboration with government officials and relevant stakeholders.
He expressed optimism that Wolekanle’s approach to his new responsibilities would contribute to the efficient coordination of the governor’s engagements and the advancement of the administration’s development objectives.
Hon. Akinleye also acknowledged Wolekanle’s previous service as Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, noting that his experience in local government administration would be valuable in his new role.
He expressed hope that the appointment would further strengthen cooperation between the state and local governments, particularly in promoting grassroots development, improving service delivery and ensuring that government policies positively impact residents across Oyo State.
While wishing the newly appointed Chief of Staff a successful and productive tenure, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye reaffirmed the importance of unity, cooperation and constructive engagement among public officeholders in the collective pursuit of the state’s development aspirations.
