The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has congratulated Hon. Akinwale Akinwole Wolekanle on his appointment as the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
Olufade described the appointment as a significant responsibility and an opportunity for Wolekanle to bring his experience, administrative expertise and commitment to public service to bear on the effective coordination of government activities and the implementation of the governor’s development agenda.
In his congratulatory message, the Ibadan North council boss expressed confidence that Wolekanle would approach his new assignment with dedication, diligence and a strong sense of responsibility, particularly in supporting the governor’s vision for sustainable development and improved service delivery across the state.
He noted that the office of the Chief of Staff occupies a strategic position in government administration, requiring effective coordination, sound judgment and constructive collaboration among government officials and institutions to ensure the smooth implementation of policies and programmes.
Olufade also acknowledged Wolekanle’s previous service as Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, noting that his involvement in local government administration provides valuable experience for his new responsibilities at the state level.
According to him, the appointment offers another opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the state government and local government authorities, particularly in advancing policies and initiatives that respond to the needs and aspirations of residents at the grassroots.
The Ibadan North chairman reaffirmed his commitment to working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders in the state to promote effective governance, institutional cooperation and development across Oyo State.
