The Vice Chairman, Egbeda Local Government and Political Head/Administrator, Ajorosun LCDA, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, has congratulated Pastor Akin Alamu, Mr. Elijah Kolawole Akanmu and Mr. Ibrahim Abayomi on their appointments into various positions by the Oyo State Governor, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde.
Governor Makinde, in a fresh round of appointments announced on Friday, September 25, 2026, appointed Pastor Akin Alamu, immediate past Chairman of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and former member of the Oyo State Advisory Council, as a member of the Oyo State Elders’ Council.

Similarly, Elijah Kolawole Akanmu was appointed Special Adviser on Housing and a member of the Board of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, while Ibrahim Abayomi was appointed Executive Assistant on Works.
In a congratulatory message made available newsmen, the APM chairmanship candidate for Egbeda local government, hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Oladebo Simple described the appointments as a further demonstration of Governor Makinde’s confidence in the capacity and experience of the appointees to contribute meaningfully to the development of Oyo State.
He particularly congratulated Pastor Akin Alamu, describing his appointment to the Elders’ Council as an opportunity to continue bringing his wealth of experience, wisdom and service to bear on matters concerning the progress of the state.
He also congratulated Elijah Kolawole Akanmu on his appointment as Special Adviser on Housing and Board Member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, expressing confidence that his new responsibilities would provide another platform for him to contribute to the administration’s efforts in the housing sector.

Oladebo Simple extended similar congratulations to Ibrahim Abayomi on his appointment as Executive Assistant on Works, noting that the responsibility comes with an important role in supporting the government’s infrastructure and development agenda.
The Egbeda Local Government Vice Chairman also congratulated all other newly appointed officials, including Mr. Sakariya Mohammed Taofik, Mr. Yinka Oladoyinbo, Ms. Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa, Mr. Dapo Falade, Hon. Seun Adelore, Hon. Gbenga Adewusi, Mr. Ogundele Quadri and Elder Olawale Olugbenga, JP, on their respective appointments.
He acknowledged the diversity of the appointments, which cut across information and orientation, housing, rural development, chieftaincy, sports, urban development, culture and tourism, and works, describing the new team as individuals who now have an opportunity to contribute their expertise to the service of the people of Oyo State.
Oladebo Simple urged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them by the governor by embracing the responsibilities of their offices with diligence, humility, dedication and a strong sense of public service.
He further commended Governor Makinde for continuing to draw from a broad pool of experienced and capable individuals in strengthening the machinery of government, while wishing all the appointees successful and impactful tenures.
According to the governor’s announcement, the appointments took immediate effect, with the appointees charged to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, commitment and loyalty to the people and government of Oyo State.
Oladebo Simple prayed that God would grant all the newly appointed officials wisdom, strength and the right leadership disposition to excel in their respective assignments and contribute to the continued development of Oyo State.
