The Director and State Coordinator of the Barrister Sharafadeen Alli (BSA) Neighbour-to-Neighbour Campaign Initiatives, Farmer Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson, has dismissed reports alleging that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy Governorship Candidate in Oyo State, Hon. Adesoji Adedeji, insulted residents of Oke-Ogun during his recent visit to Saki.
Busari Svensson, who disclosed that she was part of the team that accompanied Adedeji during the recently concluded Oke-Ogun tour, described the allegation as false, saying the APC candidate conducted himself with humility, respect and friendliness throughout the engagements.
In a statement, she said she witnessed the interactions between Adedeji and residents during the tour and that the claims of an insult were not a reflection of what transpired.
“I was part of the team on the tour with Hon. Adesoji Adedeji in Oke-Ogun, particularly during the Saki engagement, and I can confidently say that the allegation that he insulted anyone is false,” she said.
She described the report as “dirty and childish petty politics” allegedly aimed at creating division within the party and between the APC candidates and the people of Oke-Ogun.
According to her, the APC remains united and focused, stressing that “nothing can divide the party at this critical time.”
Busari Svensson also described Hon. Adesoji Adedeji as a humble, respectful and pleasant individual who has continued to demonstrate regard for the people of Oyo State through his engagements.
She said the Oke-Ogun tour provided an opportunity for the APC delegation to interact with youths, stakeholders and residents on issues affecting the zone, including agriculture, infrastructure, education, healthcare and youth development.
The campaign director further expressed confidence in the party’s prospects ahead of the forthcoming presidential and gubernatorial elections, stating that the APC would continue to work with the people towards achieving its political objectives.
