The BSA Neighbour-to-Neighbour (N.T.N.) Campaign Initiative officially commenced its statewide grassroots mobilisation yesterday, Friday, September 18, 2026, with the flag-off held at the APC Campaign Office, Dandaru, Mokola, Ibadan.

The event brought together party stakeholders, youth and women leaders, local government coordinators, and other grassroots mobilisers, with BSA Neighbour-to-Neighbour Campaign Initiative Coordinators from all 33 local government areas formally recognised.

In her welcome address, the Director and State Coordinator of the initiative, Farmer Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson, called for inclusive grassroots engagement and urged coordinators and community agents to take the campaign message directly to residents.

Busari Svensson charged the coordinators to adopt a broad and respectful approach to canvassing, listen to the concerns of residents in their communities, and effectively communicate the BSA manifesto and its message to the electorate.

She also stressed the importance of meaningful youth and women engagement, noting that young people and women should not only be remembered during election periods. She urged the coordinators to ensure that both groups are actively involved in grassroots engagement and mobilisation within their communities.

She further urged the coordinators to return to their respective communities and embark on neighbour-to-neighbour and door-to-door engagement.

 

In his goodwill message, the Oyo State APC Secretary, Hon. Fatai Adeshina, commended the initiative and encouraged the coordinators to return to their communities and polling units to work for the success of the party in the 2027 elections.

Also speaking, Hon. Adesoji Michael Adedeji, APC Deputy Governorship Candidate for Oyo State, commended Farmer Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson for her leadership and coordination of the initiative. He also commended the coordinators for their efforts and urged them to remain civil and respectful in their engagement with the electorate across the 33 local government areas.

The Director-General of the APC Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe, also charged the coordinators to work for the progress of the party and intensify grassroots mobilisation. He urged them to take the campaign message from neighbour to neighbour and canvass support for BSA across their respective communities.

The event featured the formal recognition of BSA Neighbour-to-Neighbour Campaign Initiative Coordinators representing all 33 local government areas of Oyo State.

The flag-off marked the commencement of the initiative’s grassroots engagement and mobilisation activities across Oyo State.
Notable dignitaries at the event included Oloye Shina Alabi, Chief Ogunbode, Alhaji Ishola, Alhaji Adigun, former party chairman Alhaji Olaide Abass, Yeye Olufunke Olayanju, Alhaji Kola Amoo and Alhaji Ejalonibu Fatai, alongside APC youth and women leaders and party chairmen.
