As the people of Oyo South Senatorial District prepare for another opportunity to choose quality representation, one name continues to stand out among those committed to delivering measurable development, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo, the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) senatorial candidate.

For many residents across Oyo South, especially in Ibarapa East, the demand is simple: representation must go beyond promises, speeches and publicity.

The people want a representative whose achievements can be seen, touched and connected directly to the needs of the communities.

Hon. Odidiomo’s recent rollout of constituency projects valued at over ₦1 billion has, according to his team, demonstrated a commitment to education, digital empowerment, healthcare, water supply and community development.

The projects include digital learning centres in secondary schools, borehole projects, ICT interventions, healthcare infrastructure and other initiatives aimed at improving the lives of constituents.

These interventions, spanning different parts of Oyo South, represent a style of representation that many residents describe as “talk and do”, a leader who does not only make promises but follows through with visible actions.

The digital learning centres established across secondary schools are particularly significant at a time when technology has become central to education, employment opportunities and economic growth.

By investing in digital access for students, Odidiomo has shown an understanding that the future of young people depends on preparing them with relevant skills for a changing world.

Beyond education, his interventions in water supply through borehole projects and his plans for healthcare and ICT facilities reflect an approach focused on addressing practical challenges facing communities.

For the people of Ibarapa East, these developments have strengthened confidence in Odidiomo’s ability to represent Oyo South effectively at the Senate.

Many residents have also expressed disappointment with what they describe as years of inadequate representation from some elected representatives.

Critics of the current representation have questioned the level of visible constituency impact and have argued that public office holders must be judged by tangible achievements rather than repeated announcements.

In Ibarapa East, some residents have particularly criticised the style of representation associated with Hon. Remi Oseni, alleging that many of the projects frequently highlighted have not translated into enough visible physical development within the area.

To them, representation should not be based only on publicity but on projects and programmes that communities can directly benefit from.

The people of Ibarapa East, they say, do not want a representative whose achievements exist mainly in public statements; they want a performer whose impact is evident on the ground.

Many constituents believe that previous representatives in the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency left stronger footprints in terms of visible interventions compared with what they currently see.

They argue that the standard of representation must be raised, not lowered.

This is why the emergence of Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo has attracted attention among many people in Ibarapa East and across Oyo South.

His record of constituency engagement and development-focused interventions has positioned him as a candidate many believe can bring a new era of effective representation to the senatorial district.

I also wish to sincerely appreciate Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo for his commitment and pledge to contribute meaningfully to the development of the ICT centre in Eruwa.

This gesture shows his willingness to extend his development vision beyond personal interests and support initiatives that will empower young people in Ibarapa East.

Eruwa and the entire Ibarapa East community are ready to welcome meaningful contributions from a leader who understands that development is built through action, partnership and service.

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo represents the kind of leadership many residents desire. A leader who listens, engages and delivers.

His approach has shown that public office can be used to create opportunities, improve infrastructure and positively affect lives.

As the 2027 general election approaches, the people of Oyo South have a choice to make: whether to continue with the old style of representation or embrace a new direction built on performance and visible impact.

For us in Ibarapa East, Eruwa, the choice is clear. We believe Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo is the right man to represent Oyo South Senatorial District at the Senate, the Red Chamber and to give the people the purposeful representation they deserve.
