The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji (KSA), has intensified his grassroots engagement with a community tour across key communities in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The tour, which formed part of his ongoing consultation and mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections, saw the APM candidate visit several communities where he interacted directly with residents, community leaders, youths and elders to listen to their concerns and understand the challenges confronting them.

Communities visited during the tour included Peace Estate Community and Alapata Landlord Association in Awotan, Ward 4; Oderemi, Abegede and Akerele communities in Ido Ward 8; as well as Akufo Joint Community Association in Akufo Ward 2.
At each of the communities, residents presented a range of concerns, particularly in the areas of security, infrastructure and other socio-economic needs affecting their daily lives.
Rather than limiting the engagements to campaign promises, Engr. Sheu responded to some of the immediate needs raised by the communities, providing financial assistance totalling over N5.2 million and donating solar-powered street lights to support community development and improve security.
The solar-powered street lights, according to the initiative, are expected to enhance visibility at night and contribute to safer environments for residents, particularly in areas affected by inadequate public lighting.

The APM candidate also used the opportunity to assure residents that the engagements were not merely political visits, stressing that he intended to maintain close contact with the people and remain accessible to them beyond the electioneering period.
He further expressed his commitment to ensuring that the needs and aspirations of the people form the basis of his legislative priorities if elected to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.
The visits generated enthusiasm among residents, with community leaders, youths and elders expressing appreciation for the gesture and the decision of the candidate to engage directly with them at the grassroots.
Some of the residents and community representatives subsequently pledged their support for Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji and the APM, promising to mobilise voters across their communities ahead of the 2027 election.
The grassroots tour further underscored Sheu’s campaign strategy of taking his message directly to the people while identifying with their concerns and supporting community-driven development initiatives across the constituency.
