Board member of the oyo State Pacesetter Transport Services and the chief Executive Officer of Hemjay Automobiles, Hon. Mojeed Oyeniran Agbaje, popularly known as HEMJAY, has joined members and supporters of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) at a political general meeting held in Irepo Local Government Area of Oyo State, calling on residents to support the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, which took place yesterday, Friday, August 28, 2026, formed part of the ongoing grassroots mobilisation and political sensitisation efforts of the APM across Oyo State.
Ahead of the main meeting, HEMJAY held an engagement with some APM members at Baptist Primary School, Kanjuko, Kishi, where he emphasised the need for the establishment of a strong, organised and effective political structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
Addressing the members, HEMJAY said the structure he intended to build would be strong enough to make meaningful contributions to the political development of the area.
He stressed the importance of active participation in the political process, urging every serious member of the movement to obtain a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) as evidence of their readiness and commitment to participate in the forthcoming elections.
HEMJAY further disclosed that subsequent meetings of the group would only accommodate members who possess valid PVCs, noting that possession of the voter’s card would serve as an indication of seriousness and commitment to the movement.
The meeting also witnessed a show of support from a businessman popularly known as Baddo, an Igbo man who deals in boutique clothing, who expressed his support for the political movement.
Baddo said the names of Hon. Shina Peller, SASAY and HEMJAY were names he had frequently heard in connection with political activities and community development.
In demonstration of his support, Baddo subsequently pledged the sum of ₦2 million to support the movement, expressing his readiness to contribute to its activities and growth.
Following the meeting, HEMJAY and other members proceeded on a rally walk through Kishi, before joining the larger APM political meeting held at Ojú Pópó.
Addressing supporters and residents at Ojú Pópó, HEMJAY called on the people to support the Allied Peoples’ Movement and vote for all the party’s candidates in the forthcoming elections.
He particularly appealed to residents of Irepo Local Government and the wider Oyo North Senatorial District to support Hon. Shina Peller for the Senate, while urging the electorate to also support other candidates fielded by the party.
The APM candidates highlighted at the meeting include:
- Presidential: Governor Seyi Makinde
- Governorship: Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi
- Oyo North Senatorial District: Hon. Shina Peller
- Irepo/Oorelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency: Okunrin Jeje Abiodun Oni
- House of Representatives: Okunrin Jeje Abiodun Oni
- House of Assembly: Hon. Saliu Sharafadeen Ayinde Sasay
HEMJAY also declared his commitment to the success of the APM, assuring the gathering that he would deploy his influence and capacity in his father’s town towards supporting all APM candidates.
He expressed optimism that the party’s candidates would emerge victorious in the elections, saying it would happen “by God’s grace.”
The rally and meeting formed part of the APM’s ongoing grassroots mobilisation efforts aimed at strengthening the party’s political structure, consolidating support and sensitising residents ahead of the 2027 general elections.
