The Oyo State Agency for Youth Development under the visionary leadership of Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana joins Muslims across Oyo State, Nigeria and the world in commemorating Mawlid Nabiyy 1448 AH, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a statement released and made available to newsmen by the Head of the Media Unit to the Chairman, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates, Falana, described the occasion as an opportunity for Muslims and, particularly, young people to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), whose legacy continues to inspire peace, compassion, humility, justice, tolerance and service to humanity.
Falana urged youths to draw meaningful lessons from the Prophet’s life by promoting peaceful coexistence, responsible citizenship, mutual respect and unity, while using their energy and talents to contribute positively to the development of society.
He further called on young people to uphold values that strengthen social cohesion and foster a peaceful, inclusive and prosperous Oyo State.
“As we commemorate this significant occasion, may the teachings and exemplary life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) continue to inspire us to live with compassion, integrity, tolerance and a strong commitment to the service of humanity,” he said.
The Chairman prayed that the blessings of Mawlid Nabiyy would bring peace, progress, unity and prosperity to Oyo State, Nigeria and the entire Muslim Ummah.
