Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba, Executive Assistant to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Security Coordination, has felicitated with Muslim faithful across Ibadan North Local Government Area, Oyo State, on the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Salami, in a goodwill message, described the occasion as an important opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his virtues of compassion, tolerance, honesty and service to humanity.
He urged Muslim faithful and residents of Ibadan North to use the occasion to rededicate themselves to the values of peace, unity, mutual respect and good neighbourliness.
According to him, the celebration should go beyond festivities, stressing the need for everyone to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s teachings and contribute positively to the development and peaceful coexistence of society.
Salami noted that Ibadan North Local Government is renowned for its diversity and peaceful coexistence among people of different religious and social backgrounds, urging residents to continue to uphold the tradition.
He also called on Muslims to use the occasion to offer prayers for the peace and progress of Ibadan North, the leadership of Oyo State and the prosperity of Nigeria.
“On behalf of my family and political team, I wish all Muslims in Ibadan North a peaceful and joyous celebration. May the blessings of this season bring prosperity, good health and renewed hope to us all,” he said.
Salami further prayed that the celebration would strengthen bonds of unity among residents and inspire renewed commitment to building a peaceful, prosperous and developed society.
He wished Muslim faithful a blessed and memorable Eid-El-Maulud celebration.
