The Oyo State House of Assembly member representing Oluyole State Constituency, Hon. Waheed Akintayo, popularly known as Ilumoka Presenter, has congratulated Hon. Muideen Popoola Olaide ‘Settle’ on his emergence as the consensus candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the Oluyole Local Government chairmanship election scheduled for December 2026.
Akintayo, in a congratulatory message, described the emergence of Olaide ‘Settle’ as a significant development and a reflection of the confidence reposed in him by members and stakeholders of the party.

























The lawmaker urged the APM candidate to see his emergence as a call to greater service, stressing the importance of inclusive leadership, accountability, accessibility and people-oriented governance at the grassroots.
According to him, the forthcoming local government election provides an opportunity for the people of Oluyole to choose a leader who understands their needs and is committed to transforming those needs into practical development initiatives.
“On behalf of my constituents and well-meaning people of Oluyole, I congratulate Hon. Muideen Popoola Olaide Settle on his emergence as the APM consensus candidate for Oluyole Local Government.

The lawmaker further advised the candidate to run an issue-based campaign and reach out to all segments of the local government, irrespective of political, religious or social affiliations.
Akintayo expressed confidence that Olaide Settle would bring his experience, energy and commitment to bear on the administration of Oluyole Local Government if elected, particularly in areas such as infrastructure, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, security and economic development.
He also called on party members and supporters to remain united and conduct their activities peacefully throughout the electoral process.
The lawmaker prayed for a successful campaign for the APM candidate, urging the people of Oluyole to participate actively in the December 2026 council election and make a choice that would advance the development of the local government.
Akintayo assured that he would continue to support initiatives and individuals committed to the progress, peace and prosperity of Oluyole and Oyo State.
