Akinola Ibrahim Olalekan, has expressed profound appreciation to the leadership, elders, executives, stakeholders and faithful members of the party for entrusting him with the responsibility of flying the party’s flag in the forthcoming local government elections.

Describing his emergence as both a great honour and a solemn responsibility, Hon. Akinola said the confidence reposed in him by the party is a clear call to greater service, selfless leadership and unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Ward 11.

“I am deeply humbled and sincerely grateful to our respected leaders, elders, executives, stakeholders and every loyal member of our great party for the confidence you have reposed in me.

Your support and endorsement mean so much to me, and I regard this opportunity not as a personal achievement but as a mandate to serve our people with dedication, integrity, humility and accountability.

“I assure you that I will justify this confidence through purposeful representation, accessible leadership and an unrelenting commitment to the welfare and development of every community in Ward 11.”

The Councillorship Candidate also extended heartfelt appreciation to the youths, women, supporters and well-wishers whose prayers, encouragement, sacrifices and steadfast support contributed to the success of his aspiration.

In a remarkable display of sportsmanship, Hon. Akinola paid glowing tribute to his fellow aspirants, describing them as committed party loyalists whose aspirations were driven by a genuine desire to serve the people.

He stressed that the conclusion of the nomination process should not be seen as the triumph of one individual over another but as a collective victory for the party and the entire Ward 11.

“I sincerely appreciate my brothers and fellow aspirants who offered themselves for service.

Your courage, commitment and passion for the development of our ward are deeply commendable.

The conclusion of this process has produced a candidate, but it has not produced winners and losers.

Rather, it has strengthened our party and reaffirmed our shared commitment to the progress of Ward 11.

I extend my hand of fellowship to each and every one of you. I value your contributions, I respect your sacrifices, and I look forward to working closely with all of you as partners in building a stronger and more united Ward 11.”

Hon. Akinola assured party members that his leadership would be anchored on inclusiveness, consultation, transparency and collective decision-making, maintaining that every stakeholder would have a place in the journey towards a more prosperous Ward 11.

“As we move forward, I want every member of our party and every resident of Ward 11 to know that this mandate belongs to all of us.

My door will remain open to everyone irrespective of previous political preferences during the nomination process.

Together, we shall build a Ward where every voice is heard, every opinion is respected and every resident has a sense of belonging.

Our diversity will remain our greatest strength, and together we will pursue sustainable development, unity and shared prosperity.”

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the ideals of the Allied Peoples’ Movement and calling on all party faithful to close ranks and work together to secure a resounding victory for the party in the forthcoming local government elections.

“I thank everyone who believed in me and stood by me throughout this journey.
