The Governor of Oyo State and Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peopleโ€™s Movement (APM), โ€˜Seyi Makinde, on Friday inaugurated the partyโ€™s apex campaign council for Oyo State.


Speaking at the event, which took place at the Conference Room, Governorโ€™s Office, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, Makinde charged members to reach out to all stakeholders and ensure proper integration for an all inclusive campaign structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The council is chaired by Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), who will serve concurrently as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director General of the Oyo State Governorship Campaign.


Other members of the council include:
โ€ข Hon. Saheed Arowosaye (AROSAD), former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, as Deputy State Coordinator.
โ€ข Hon. Demola Ojo, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, as Deputy Director General (Oyo South).
โ€ข Dr. Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal as Deputy Director Generals for Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts, respectively.
โ€ข Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo as Director, Womenโ€™s Wing.
โ€ข Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, former Special Assistant (Youth) to Governor Makinde, as Director, Youth Wing.

Governor Makinde urged members of the campaign council to engage leaders of the Allied Peopleโ€™s Movement and integrate existing structures and platforms without delay.


The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal; the APM Gubernatorial Candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his running mate, Engr. Mufutau Open Salawu; the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Musibau Babatunde; the Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD; and the Senior Executive Assistant to the Governor on General Duties, Chief Bayo Lawal.
