The African Democratic Congress (ADC) House of Representatives candidate for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. Akinyemi Akinpelu, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to renowned industrialist, philanthropist and community leader, Chief (Engr.) Dotun Sanusi (Okanlomo Oodua), on his installation as the Gbonka of Ibadanland.
In a congratulatory message, Hon. Akinpelu described the conferment of the prestigious traditional title as a fitting recognition of Chief Sanusi’s remarkable contributions to humanity, his unwavering commitment to the socio-economic development of Ibadanland, and his steadfast dedication to the progress of Oyo State and the Yoruba nation.

He noted that the title of Gbonka is deeply rooted in the rich history and cultural heritage of Ibadanland, symbolising courage, resilience, honour and selfless service.
According to him, Chief Sanusi has, over the years, exemplified these virtues through his numerous philanthropic initiatives, investments in human capital development and unwavering support for community advancement.
Hon. Akinpelu commended the Olubadan of Ibadanland and the Olubadan-in-Council for finding Chief Sanusi worthy of such an esteemed honour, adding that the recognition reflects the high regard in which he is held by the people of Ibadanland.
He expressed confidence that Chief Sanusi would continue to use his new position to promote peace, unity, cultural preservation and sustainable development across Ibadanland.
