The Founder of the Omituntun Benedict Forum (OBF), Oloye Benedict Akika JP, has expressed profound gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde and security agencies following the successful rescue of the teachers and pupils abducted from Ahoro Esinele Community in Oriire Local Government Area.

In a statement issued on Friday, Chief Akika described the victims’ release as a moment of joy and relief for their families, the Ahoro community, and the entire people of Oyo State, noting that the development has restored hope and confidence in the government’s determination to safeguard lives and property.

The OBF Founder commended Governor Makinde for his steadfast leadership, resilience, and unwavering commitment throughout the period of the victims’ captivity.

According to him, the governor demonstrated genuine concern by working closely with security agencies and relevant stakeholders to ensure the safe return of the abducted teachers and pupils.

Akika also applauded the professionalism and sacrifices of the security agencies, local vigilante groups, traditional rulers, community leaders, and all individuals who played vital roles in securing the victims’ freedom.

The governor’s ally urged residents of Oyo State to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing credible and timely information that would help prevent crime and strengthen community policing across the state.

Recollecting a similar incident of his, he congratulates the rescued teachers, pupils, and their families, Akika prayed for their quick physical, emotional, and psychological recovery from the traumatic experience.

He reaffirmed his and groups unwavering support for the Makinde administration’s efforts to enhance security across Oyo State and expressed optimism that with sustained collaboration between government, security agencies, and the people, the state would continue to enjoy peace, safety, and development.
