Residents and loyal members of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Ward 2, Ibadan North Local Government, have showered encomiums on the Executive Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security Coordination, Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba, for his remarkable gesture of generosity and kindness during the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The atmosphere in Ward 2 was filled with excitement and appreciation as Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba distributed cash gifts, Bags of rice, and clothes to over 1,500 residents and APM party faithfuls to ease the celebration of the sacred Muslim festival.
Beneficiaries who spoke with journalists expressed deep gratitude to the grassroots politician for putting smiles on their faces and making the Sallah celebration memorable for many families amid the current economic realities.
According to several residents and party supporters, the gesture went beyond mere empowerment, describing it as an act of compassion and love from a leader who genuinely cares about the wellbeing of his people.
They noted that the gifts of cash, rice, and clothes would go a long way in supporting many homes during the festive season, while prayers and praises have continued to pour in for Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba from grateful beneficiaries.
Party leaders and executives within the APM also commended the security aide to Governor Seyi Makinde, describing him as a unique politician whose passion has always been centered on bringing joy, relief, and hope to the people at the grassroots.
Some of the residents further described the initiative as a wonderful demonstration of leadership and humanity, adding that it reflected the qualities of a man who desires happiness and comfort for every household within his community.
Speaking with journalists during the distribution exercise, Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba said he derives joy from supporting the people, especially during festive periods when many families look forward to celebrating in happiness and peace.
According to him, “Festive periods like Eid-el-Kabir are moments of love, sacrifice, and sharing.
Everyone deserves to be happy, and that is why I decided to extend this gesture to residents and APM faithfuls in Ward 2 and beyond.
Seeing smiles on the faces of the people gives me fulfillment.”
Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba, who hails from Ward 2 in Ibadan North Local Government, also used the opportunity to commend the administration of the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, describing him as a visionary leader who has positively redefined governance in Oyo State.
He stated that Governor Makinde’s style of governance has continued to inspire many political appointees and stakeholders to complement the government’s efforts through impactful grassroots initiatives.
The security coordinator further appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for the opportunity given to him to serve in his administration, assuring the people of Ward 2 and Ibadan North Local Government of quality representation whenever he is called upon to serve in any greater capacity.
He concluded by praying for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Oyo State and Nigeria at large, while also praying that Almighty Allah grants everyone the grace to witness many more Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in good health and happiness.
