In staunch obedience to the official directives and electoral guidelines of the All Progressives Congress (APC), I am pleased to announce that I have formally picked my Gubernatorial Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms at the party’s National Headquarters in Abuja.
This decisive action speaks to my identity as a thoroughbred democrat and a loyal party man who respects the institutional sanctity of our great fold.
I wish to extend my profound gratitude to the National Working Committee and the leadership of the APC in Oyo State for ensuring an open, inclusive, and transparent process that allows every committed party faithful to aspire to the highest office in the land.
The creation of this level playing field for all aspirants across the federation by our party, no doubt, has once again demonstrated its status as the bastion of progressive democracy in Africa.
I have repeatedly emphasised that the path to inclusive governance is not paved with rhetoric, but with a commitment to one’s principles and a willingness to “walk the talk.”
The step I have taken today is a significant escalation in the volume of my democratic vision for the good people of Oyo State.
It is an affirmation that my aspiration is not born of a mere desire for title, but of a deep-seated dedication to a structured and industrialised state where every citizen’s potential is unlocked.
Picking these forms is the physical manifestation of my covenant with the people – a covenant rooted in the logic of research, the precision of policy, and the passionate heart of a true patriot.
My entry into this race remains primarily driven by a mission to unseat the current PDP administration from the Agodi Government House and deliver a standard of governance that truly reflects our “Pacesetter” status.
The people of Oyo State deserve a leadership that is transparent, proactive, and intellectually grounded – a leadership that prioritises human capital development over political convenience.
As we move closer to the primary elections, I shall continue to engage our esteemed party members and delegates across the 33 Local Government Areas.
I am highly optimistic that our delegates, as the custodians of our party’s future, will align with the voice of reason and collectively choose my candidacy as the most viable vessel to return the APC to power in May 2027.
It is worthy of note to state that I remain deeply committed to an inclusive consultative process with the elders and leaders of our great party at both the state and national levels.
Their wisdom and direction are indispensable to our eventual success, and I welcome every opportunity to harmonise our vision for a formidable and unified APC.
The “Realistic Tomorrow” we have envisioned is not a solitary dream but a collective mission that requires the strength of our entire progressive family.
Our vision remains solid, our structure is unshaken, and we are firmly on course to deliver a government that our children will be proud to inherit. We all can do this together, let’s do it.
