Coordinator of special assistants in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Isiaka Saheed Adekunle, popularly known as Obama, has congratulated three frontline lawmakers, Folajimi Oyekunle (DON), Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, and Olufunke Comforter on securing the PDP re-election tickets for the 2027 general elections.
Hon.Hon. Isiaka Saheed Adekunle (Obama) who hails from Ward 5, described the emergence of the trio as “a well-deserved reward for proven loyalty, performance, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the party and the people.”
Reacting to the consensus reached by party leaders and stakeholders, Obama commended the maturity and unity displayed throughout the consultation process, noting that the outcome reflects the PDP’s strength as a disciplined and people-focused political family.
According to him, the return tickets granted to Hon. Oyekunle (DON), representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency; Hon. Babajide Gabriel, representing Ibadan North Constituency II; and Hon. Olufunke Comforter, representing Ibadan North Constituency I, is a clear testament to their impactful representation and grassroots connection.
“As a loyal party man and committed team player, I join leaders and members across Ibadan North to celebrate these distinguished representatives.
Their re-election bids are not only victories for them but for the entire PDP family and the good people they serve,” he stated.
Obama further called on all party faithful to close ranks, intensify mobilization efforts, and work collectively towards delivering overwhelming victory for the PDP in the 2027 elections.
He emphasized that unity, continuity, and sustained development must remain the guiding principles as the party moves forward.
“With this strategic consolidation, the PDP in Ibadan North is more united, stronger, and fully prepared to retain its dominance at both the federal and state levels,” he added.
