Governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem, has formally intensified his bid for the partyโ€™s 2027 ticket, declaring full readiness to enter the race as internal processes gather momentum.

In a statement made available to journalists, the Ibadan born politician said he is prepared to purchase the partyโ€™s nomination and expression of interest forms in line with the timetable released by the APC national secretariat, describing the move as โ€œa natural progression of my long-standing engagement with the grassroots.โ€

ย

โ€œI stand at the threshold of a historic commitment,โ€ he said.

โ€œI wish to state, with absolute clarity and resolve, that I am fully prepared to proceed with the purchase of the gubernatorial nomination forms.โ€

The aspirant noted that his campaign structure across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State had been fully activated, with resources strategically aligned to meet all institutional requirements.

โ€œMy engine is fully at work, and our campaign remains the gold standard for preparedness and intent,โ€ he added.

Kareem emphasised his commitment to internal democracy within the APC, stressing that consultation and consensus-building remain critical to the partyโ€™s success.

โ€œI am a democrat to the core. Internal consensus and open dialogue are not alternatives to competition; they are sophisticated democratic tools that strengthen our party,โ€ he said.

While expressing confidence in his chances, the aspirant also pledged loyalty to party leadership and decisions.

โ€œI remain a loyal party man who respects the institutional compass of our leadership, especially where strategic decisions are made for the greater good of the progressive family,โ€ he stated.

Calling on his supporters to intensify mobilisation, Kareem urged party faithful to remain focused in the coming days.

โ€œThe hour of mobilisation is here. Remain vigilant, organised, and high-spirited.

Our movement is built on conviction, not convenience,โ€ he said.
