The lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olufunke-Comforter Adeniji Olajide, has expressed deep appreciation to His Excellency, the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the party apex leadership, party leaders, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family, as well as lovers and well-wishers for the overwhelming support that culminated in her emergence as the consensus candidate for a second term.
Hon. Comforter, who also serves as the Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, described her unopposed return during the recent consensus meeting as a humbling call to greater service and responsibility.
She noted that the confidence reposed in her by the leadership and members of the party reflects a shared commitment to unity, progress, and people-oriented representation.
The lawmaker further pledged her continued loyalty to the PDP and assured constituents of her unwavering dedication to delivering more impactful and inclusive representation.
According to her, the renewed mandate would spur her to intensify efforts in advancing legislative initiatives that promote women empowerment, social development, and overall grassroots transformation.
Hon Comforter added that she remains committed to justifying the trust placed in her by working tirelessly for the betterment of Ibadan North Constituency I and Oyo State at large.
She, however, called for sustained support and cooperation from all stakeholders as the journey towards greater development continues.
