















Leaders and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State have formally presented Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji and Hon. Rafiu Omotosho to party members and constituents as their preferred candidates for the House of Representatives and the Oyo State House of Assembly respectively.





The gathering, held at B4 Hotel and Suites in Ido, brought together influential party leaders, ward representatives and grassroots mobilisers who converged to demonstrate unity and readiness ahead of future political engagements in the constituency.
Addressing attendees at the event, the overall leader, Mallam Muyili Yusuf, described the presentation as a collective decision reached after extensive consultations among party leaders across the local government.
He noted that the choice of Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji and Hon. Rafiu Omotosho reflects the confidence reposed in their leadership qualities, commitment to service, and connection with the grassroots.
Mallam Yusuf emphasized that both men possess the experience and dedication required to effectively represent the interests of the people at the federal and state legislative levels.
He urged party members and supporters across all wards in Ido to remain united and committed to the party’s collective vision.
According to him, unity among leaders and followers of the party would be key to ensuring continued progress and political stability in the area.
The event attracted several notable figures within the party structure, including Alhaji Yisau Alabanla; Alhaji Akinsola Ayuba, the Oyo State PDP Auditor; Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibigbe, Chairman of the Civil Service Commission; Alhaji Emiola Musibau, PDP Chairman; and Pastor Sunday Akintokun.
Others present were Alhaji Lateef Fashola (Ward 7 Leader); Alhaji Deikola Mukaila (Ward 9 Leader); Alhaji Atilola Tajudeen (Ward 10 Leader); Alhaji Alaba Adelabu; Tirimisiyu Ibrahim (Ward 2); Akinwande Kunle (Ward 3); Musibau Oladipo (Ward 6); Jimoh (Ward 1); Hon. Matthew Akano; and Comrade Rasaq Babalola, alongside other party faithful and community stakeholders.
Observers at the event noted that the presentation signals a renewed effort by party leaders in Ido Local Government to strengthen internal cohesion and mobilize support at the grassroots as preparations for future elections gradually take shape.
