











A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State, Oloye Adegboyega Toafeek Adegoke FCA, has been pronounced as one of the national leaders of the party at the 2026 Oyo State Congress, while congratulating the newly elected executive officers led by Hon. Afeez Adelowo OnaAra.



Oloye Adegoke, who is the Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, was named among 12 national leaders of the party during the congress, in what observers have described as a significant elevation of his political influence within the ADC.
The congress, held at Water Shed, Ibadan, also saw the successful election of 42 state executive members, marking a major milestone in the party’s consolidation efforts in Oyo State and representatives from all the 33 local government areas.
In a personal interview immediately after the congress, Adegoke who is also the chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a call to greater service and commitment to the growth of the party both in Oyo State and at the national level.





“I am deeply honoured to be pronounced as one of the national leaders of our great party at the 2026 congress. This recognition comes with greater responsibility, and I remain committed to the ideals and vision of the ADC,” he said.
He commended the leadership of the party for organizing what he described as a peaceful, credible, and well-coordinated congress, noting that the process reflects the party’s dedication to internal democracy and unity.
Adegoke also congratulated the newly elected State Chairman, Hon. Afeez Adelowo OnaAra, and other executive members, expressing confidence in their ability to reposition the party for electoral success.
“I warmly congratulate our great party, the ADC, on the success of the state congress, and I equally felicitate with Hon. OnaAra and the 42 newly elected executives. I am confident that their leadership will usher in unity, discipline, and strategic growth,” he stated.
The gubernatorial aspirant emphasized the need for collective commitment among party members, urging stakeholders to rally behind the new leadership to strengthen the party’s structures across all levels.
He further assured the people of Oyo State that the ADC remains committed to delivering good governance and improving the welfare of citizens.
“Unprecedented development and empowerment are coming to Oyo State. The ADC is ready to provide purposeful leadership that will transform the lives of our people,” Adegoke declared.
Adegoke concluded by reaffirming his dedication to the party’s vision, expressing optimism that the ADC is on a strong path to becoming a dominant political force in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
