As Nigerians join the global Christian community to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, prominent statesman, entrepreneur, and the Ayedero of Yorubaland, Hon. Shina Peller, has issued a powerful call for national rebirth, urging a collective commitment to restoring democratic values and prioritizing the Nigerian youth as the primary architects of a sustainable future.

In a stirring Easter message released on Sunday, Hon. Peller described the season as a “profound reminder” that light and victory are inevitable despite the prevailing socio-economic “darkness” facing the nation.
He linked the spiritual significance of the resurrection to the current state of Nigeria, advocating for a “renewal of communal bonds and national hope.”
Fresh from high-profile engagements, including his widely attended Ramadan lecture in Iseyin, Hon. Peller emphasized that Nigeria’s democracy is at a critical crossroads.

He noted that the strength of the nation’s governance depends heavily on the presence of a “credible voice for the opposition” and an uncompromising adherence to justice and truth.
“Our democracy only thrives when there is balance,” Peller stated. “We cannot build a sustainable future if we do not invest in our greatest asset—our youth.
This season of renewal must move us to collectively commit to the renewal of our democratic values.”
Addressing the younger generation directly, the former lawmaker challenged Nigerian youths not to be deterred by current hardships.
Framing the youth’s aspirations as the “blueprints for a greater Nigeria,” he reaffirmed his dedication to providing platforms that allow young Nigerians to lead and innovate.
“To the young people of Nigeria: Easter is a testament to the power of transformation,” Peller added. “Do not be discouraged by the challenges of today.
Your dreams are the blueprints for a greater Nigeria, and we remain dedicated to ensuring you have the platform to fly.”
The Ayedero of Yorubaland, whose title signifies “The Bringer of Peace/Prosperity to the World,” concluded his message with a prayer for national peace and a “renewed vigor” to tackle the country’s challenges.
Hon. Shina Peller, a renowned Nigerian entrepreneur, politician, and philanthropist, is a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment, peace-building, and the promotion of democratic accountability in Nigeria.
