The Political Head of Irepodun LCDA, Hon. Oladejo Olufemi Olayinka (Femi Bantu), has extended warm felicitations to Christians across the world on the occasion of Easter, with special greetings to his principal, Hon. Olufade Seun, Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, and the good people of Irepodun LCDA.
In a statement issued through his Information Officer, Balogun Kehinde, Hon. Oladejo described Easter as a sacred period for deep reflection on the ultimate sacrifice made for humanity—not with silver or gold, but through unconditional love and grace that brought redemption to mankind.
He urged Christians to imbibe the virtues of love, sacrifice, and compassion exemplified by Jesus Christ, while also advocating for moderation in celebrations during the festive period.
The Council Political Head further called for sustained prayers for peace and stability in Nigeria, particularly for citizens in Plateau State, Jos, and other areas currently experiencing unrest and violence.
Hon. Oladejo also expressed heartfelt condolences to families who lost loved ones in recent tragic incidents, praying that the resurrection of Jesus Christ will herald an end to the senseless killings of innocent Nigerians and usher in lasting peace across the nation.
He wished all Christians a peaceful and fulfilling Easter celebration.
