A governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Ambassador Abdulsabur Abiola Olawore, on Wednesday attended a party meeting in Ibadan North, where he reaffirmed his readiness to build on the achievements of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Addressing party faithful at the gathering, Olawore assured members of his commitment to sustaining and advancing the political and administrative legacy of the incumbent governor.

He expressed confidence that the PDP would retain power in the state, describing the 2027 governorship election as one the party is well-positioned to win decisively.

“The 2027 gubernatorial election is for Governor Makinde to win hands down and install a worthy successor,” Olawore stated, emphasizing the need for continuity in governance under the PDP.
The governorship aspirant also used the opportunity to solicit the support of party leaders, members, and residents of Ibadan North in his bid to secure the party’s governorship ticket ahead of the election.
As part of his engagement with PDP stakeholders, members, Olawore donated cash to party leaders, ward executives, and members present at the meeting, a gesture he said was aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilization and party unity.
Party members at the meeting welcomed the aspirant’s message, noting the importance of cohesion and strategic planning as preparations gradually begin for the 2027 electoral cycle in Oyo State.
