A prominent business tycoon, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, was on Sunday accorded a rousing and emotional homecoming reception by residents of Ward 4 in the Apete community of Ido Local Government Area, as he formally declared his political aspirations.

The event, which drew a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters, community leaders, and party faithful, transformed the area into a festive ground, reflecting what observers described as a strong grassroots endorsement of his ambition.

Addressing the cheering crowd, Adedeji expressed deep appreciation for the overwhelming show of love and solidarity, describing the reception as both humbling and inspiring.

 



 

 


He emphasized that his decision to venture into politics was driven by a genuine desire to serve the people rather than pursue personal or political gains.

“Home will always be home. The warmth and love I have received today are truly massive and unforgettable.

My entry into politics is purely for the service of humanity and the collective good of our people,” he said.

In a significant gesture, the aspirant announced a donation of several millions of naira towards the development of the ward, assuring residents that the gesture marked only the beginning of greater opportunities and progress for the community.

The atmosphere was marked by joy and optimism, as residents expressed confidence in his leadership potential and commitment to grassroots development.

Adedeji further assured the people that if given the party ticket and eventual mandate at the polls, his administration would prioritize inclusive development, promising impactful projects that would benefit all, irrespective of political affiliations.

Speaking on behalf of the ward, Hon. Kayode Akano, commended Adedeji’s initiative and described him as a true son of the soil who understands the challenges facing the people. He urged residents to mobilize support and secure their voter cards to ensure victory at the polls.

“We need someone who truly understands our struggles. Engr. Adedeji is one of us, and we can confidently vouch for his capacity and sincerity. This is the time to rally behind our own for meaningful development,” Akano stated.

The Ward Chairman also echoed similar sentiments, appealing to the electorate to remain steadfast in their support until the aspirant secures the party ticket and emerges victorious in the election.

Several notable stakeholders and community figures graced the event, including Alhaji Ojo Alabi, Hon. Akanbi Sunday, Baba Ramoni, Comrade Femi Alagbe (JP), Mr. Babatunde Abiodun, Mr. Bimbo Akande, Ibrahim Abiodun, Mama Komolafe, Olajumoke Taiwo, Mr. Tiamiyu Yisau, Mr. Raji Kasali, Ogunsina Sunday, all Ward Executives, Mrs. Olunloyo (Local Woman Leader), and Mr. Lukman Oladejo (Ward Woman Leader).
