In preparation for the Easter celebration, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke has further demonstrated his commitment to grassroots development with the grading of strategic roads and the official opening of Galilee Playing Grounds in both Idere and Igboora communities.





This intervention forms part of deliberate is efforts by the Chairman to enhance accessibility, ease movement and create a more conducive environment for residents and visitors expected to participate in Easter activities across the local government area.
As part of the exercise, the road leading to Galilee in Idere Community which had previously posed serious challenges due to its poor condition, was successfully graded, bringing long-awaited relief to commuters and residents.
The project is expected to significantly improve transportation and reduce the stress associated with movement during the festive period.
In a similar development, the grading exercise was extended to the Galilee axis in igbole, Igboora where several key roads benefited from the intervention.
These include roads within Ogboja Community, the Owayanrin axis, Temidire area 1 and other adjoining streets, all of which are vital to the daily movement and economic activities of the people.
Beyond road infrastructure, the Chairman also officially opened the Galilee Playing Grounds in both Idere and Igboora, providing modern and accessible spaces for recreation, youth engagement and community gatherings.
The initiative is expected to encourage social interaction, promote sporting activities and foster unity among residents, especially during the Easter festivities.
Speaking on the development, Hon. Olusola Adeleke stated that the initiative reflects his administration’s proactive and people-centered approach to governance.
“We understand the importance of accessibility and community engagement, especially during festive periods like Easter when movement and activities increase.
These interventions are designed to ensure that our people can move freely, interact, and celebrate in a safe and conducive environment,” he said.
Residents across Idere and Igboora communities have expressed their appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as impactful and responsive to the needs of the people.
Many noted that the improved road conditions, coupled with the opening of the playing grounds, will significantly enhance both social and economic activities within the communities.
This development once again highlighted Hon. Olusola Adeleke’s commitment to delivering meaningful and sustainable projects, as his administration continues to prioritize the welfare of the people and the overall development of Ibarapa Central Local Government.
