In a time when economic realities continue to place pressure on citizens, the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people through the approval of a ₦10,000 transport relief package for workers across the state.

Reacting to this timely intervention under the YEAP Safer Initiative, the Lagelu Leading OYHA Aspirant, Hajia Oluwatoyin Fatimoh Oyegbori-Oluwa, commended the Governor for what she described as a compassionate and people-centered approach to governance.

She noted that the initiative is not only thoughtful but also a clear reflection of a leadership style that prioritizes the well-being of workers, especially in the face of rising transportation costs.
Chief (Mrs.) Oyegbori-Oluwa emphasized that such proactive measures are a testament to Governor Makinde’s deep understanding of the challenges confronting the average worker.
According to her, the ₦10,000 palliative, which will span three months, will go a long way in cushioning the effects of the current economic situation and easing the burden on families.
She further described the Governor as a leader who listens, acts, and delivers, adding that his worker-friendly policies continue to set a standard for responsive governance.
She urged other leaders to emulate such people-oriented initiatives that directly impact the lives of citizens.
Reaffirming her alignment with the Governor’s vision, Chief (Mrs.) Oyegbori-Oluwa assured the people of Lagelu Constituency that her aspiration is rooted in the same principles of service, empathy, and inclusive development.
She pledged to champion policies that uplift the people and ensure that governance remains close to the grassroots.
“This is the kind of leadership we must sustain one that sees the people, hears them, and responds with genuine care,” she concluded.
The gesture by Governor Makinde once again reinforces his reputation as a leader who not only governs but genuinely cares for the people.
