The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has commended Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the world for their unwavering spiritual commitment, discipline, and sacrifice throughout the 30-day Ramadan fast.

In a goodwill message to mark the celebration of Eid el-Fitr, the Speaker described the holy month of Ramadan as a period of deep reflection, self-denial, and renewed devotion to Allah.
He noted that the successful completion of the fast is a testament to the resilience and faith of the Muslim Ummah.

Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin praised the values of patience, compassion, generosity, and unity demonstrated by Muslims during the fasting period, stressing that such virtues are essential for fostering peace and harmony in society.

He urged adherents to sustain these noble qualities beyond Ramadan and allow them to guide their daily interactions and contributions to national development.
The Speaker further emphasized the importance of extending love and support to the less privileged, noting that the spirit of giving, which defines Ramadan, should not end with the season.
While congratulating Muslims on witnessing another Eid celebration, Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin called on all citizens to continue to uphold the values of tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.
He also reaffirmed the commitment of the Oyo State House of Assembly to enacting people-oriented legislation that will improve the welfare and well-being of all residents, irrespective of their religious, political and social backgrounds.
Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the fasting, prayers, and supplications offered during Ramadan, and grants continued peace, progress, and prosperity to Oyo State and the nation.
