Farmer Omolara Busari Svensson, Convener of Women and Youth in Politics Sensitization and Special Adviser to the Honourable Minister of State for Agriculture on Women and Youth for Agricultural Innovation has warmly congratulated former Oyo State First Lady, Chief Mrs Florence Fatima Ajimobi, on her appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria.

In a statement made available to journalists, Omolara described the appointment as well-deserved and a recognition of Mrs. Ajimobi’s enduring legacy of leadership, resilience, and service to humanity.

She portrayed the former First Lady as a perfect example of a virtuous woman, a trailblazer, a strong-spirited leader, a goal-getter, and a lover of people whose progressive nature has continued to inspire many across political and social divides.

According to Omolara, the ambassadorial posting is a testament to the remarkable character and influence of Mrs. Ajimobi, who has consistently demonstrated uncommon strength and leadership, particularly in the years following the passing of her husband, the late former governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi.

She noted that beyond being a supportive spouse, Mrs. Ajimobi played a significant and strategic role during her husband’s administration, contributing immensely to policies and initiatives that touched the lives of many residents of Oyo State.

“Chief Mrs. Florence Fatima Ajimobi represents the very essence of dignity, courage and purposeful leadership.

She has remained steadfast and inspiring, not only holding forth the fold after the demise of her husband but also continuing to champion causes that uplift women, youths and the vulnerable in society,” Omolara Busari said.

Speaking on behalf of women in the party, she emphasized that the appointment has brought immense pride to members of the APC, especially the women’s wing, who see the development as a motivation for greater participation of women in leadership and governance.

“On behalf of all of us, her children in the All Progressives Congress, particularly the women’s wing, I extend a very hearty congratulations to our dear mother and leader on her posting as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria,” she added.

Omolara further expressed strong confidence that the former First Lady would bring her wealth of experience, diplomatic finesse, and people-centered leadership style to bear in strengthening Nigeria’s foreign relations.

“I am convinced beyond every reasonable doubt that Her Excellency will make remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s foreign affairs and foster stronger economic and diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Austria,” she stated.

The APC stalwart prayed for wisdom, strength, and success for Mrs. Ajimobi as she assumes the prestigious diplomatic responsibility of representing Nigeria on the international stage.
