The Political Head of Irepodun LCDA, Hon. Oladejo Olufemi Olayinka, has called on party faithful to remain steadfast, focused, and undistracted by rumours circulating within the political space.
Hon. Olayinka made the appeal during a ward meeting held at St.Pauls Primary School, Yemetu, Ibadan, where he reassured members that the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would soon address and resolve the ongoing issues within the party.
He urged members to remain loyal and committed to the ideals of the party, expressing confidence that Governor Seyi Makinde would provide clarity and leadership toward resolving the situation.
As part of his continued support for grassroots party members, Hon. Olayinka fulfilled his earlier pledge to members of Ward 3 by donating ₦10,000 each to ten beneficiaries within the ward.
In addition, he presented eleven Ankara fabrics to the ward women leaders in appreciation of the role of women in strengthening the party at the grassroots level.
The gesture, he noted, follows a similar initiative carried out during a previous ward meeting at the same venue.
Speaking further, hon. Olayinka popularly known as Bantu reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of party members, assuring them that additional support initiatives would be introduced to further strengthen the party structure within the ward.
Hon. Olayinka also used the opportunity to encourage residents and party members to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise by going out in large numbers to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) within the seven-day period approved by the government.
In their separate remarks, Mr. Kabiru Kare and Mrs.Laide Rabiu expressed appreciation for the generous support extended to the ward. They assured the council boss that the gesture would not be forgotten and prayed for long life, good health, and greater accomplishments for him in the years ahead.
