Akinyele Local Government has once again demonstrated its growing strength in grassroots healthcare delivery by clinching the prestigious IMPACT Quarter Three (July–September) 2025 Primary Health Care Centres State Third Best Performance Award.

The recognition, awarded for high coverage and quality delivery of IMPACT Project indicators across the state, places Akinyele LG among the leading local governments committed to improving the health and wellbeing of their people.

This remarkable achievement reflects months of dedication, coordination, and strategic execution of primary healthcare initiatives designed to reach every corner of the local government.

The award highlights Akinyele LG’s consistent efforts in strengthening routine immunization, maternal and child health services, community outreach, data management, and other essential healthcare indicators under the IMPACT Project framework. Competing alongside several other local governments in the state, Akinyele Local Government distinguished itself through measurable improvements in service coverage and adherence to quality standards.

In an outstanding display of excellence at the facility level, Ojoo Primary Health Centre emerged as the Best Performing PHC in Akinyele Local Government for its high coverage and quality delivery of IMPACT Project indicators. Ojoo PHC’s exceptional performance underscores the dedication of frontline health workers who continue to go beyond expectations in serving their communities.

Their resilience, professionalism, and commitment to excellence have positioned the centre as a model for effective primary healthcare service delivery within the local government.

The workers of Akinyele Primary Health Care Centres attributed this success to the unwavering support and enabling leadership of the Executive Chairman, Akinwole Akinleye. They described him as a leader with listening ears, one who prioritizes healthcare development and ensures that workers are equipped with the necessary tools and conducive environment to perform efficiently and effectively.
