In a demonstration of compassion and inclusive governance, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke has distributed food packages to Muslim and Christian faithful across the local government area in recognition of the holy seasons of Ramadan and Lent.
The outreach which covered various communities within Ibarapa Central was designed to provide support to families and religious leaders during this sacred period of fasting, prayer and spiritual reflection.

Clerics and leaders from both faiths were among the beneficiaries, reflecting the administration’s commitment to strengthening interfaith unity and community cohesion.

Speaking during the outreach, Hon. Adeleke stated that Ramadan and Lent are seasons that promote sacrifice, compassion, generosity and love for humanity.
He explained that the initiative was aimed at easing the burden on households and faith communities, particularly amid prevailing economic realities.
“These holy seasons call us to care for one another and uplift each other. As a government, we are mindful of our responsibility to support our people and encourage unity across religious lines,” the Chairman remarked.
He further urged residents to use the period to offer prayers for peace, stability and continued development in Ibarapa Central, Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
Religious leaders and community members expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as timely and symbolic of responsive, people-centered leadership.
The distribution exercise reaffirms Hon. Adeleke’s dedication to social welfare, religious harmony and inclusive service delivery across Ibarapa Central Local Government.
