At the official launch of my policy blueprint, Our Realistic Tomorrow, held on Saturday, 10th January 2027, at the Iyanganku Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, Aare Afe Babalola Hall, I made a bold and unequivocal declaration:
The people of Oyo State can live a quality life comparable to that of Australians and citizens of other developed nations.

The difference is not intelligence.
The difference is not resources.
The difference is leadership.
I entered politics for one central purpose — to serve with sincerity, to uplift our people on a large scale, and to redefine governance through competence, integrity, and measurable impact.

Leadership is what is lacking in our governance architecture. We need leaders with genuine interest in the welfare of the populace — leaders who have invested in their communities long before seeking public office.
I stand before you not merely as a governorship aspirant, but as someone whose journey reflects service, global exposure, institutional leadership, and community investment.
My Journey: Education, Global Exposure, and Institutional Leadership
I am Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK 2027), an educator, Islamic scholar, and philanthropist with over 25 years of teaching experience across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
I hold:
A PhD in Mathematics Education
A Master of Leadership and Management in Education from The University of Newcastle, Australia
A Professional Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching Mathematics from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland.
As an accredited secondary Mathematics teacher and school leader currently serving with the Department of Education in New South Wales, Australia, I have operated within systems where governance works — where public institutions are accountable, infrastructure functions efficiently, and citizens enjoy predictable service delivery.
I have seen what quality leadership produces. And I know Oyo State can achieve the same standard.
Leadership That Invests Before Seeking Office
Before politics, I invested.
Through structured initiatives and institutions, I have contributed to education, agriculture, youth development, business support, and community welfare.
I founded:
Attaofeequ Billahi (AB) Farm Limited — promoting agricultural productivity and food sustainability
Attaofeequ Billahi International School (ABIS)
Australian Boiling Point International School — advancing quality education
Attaofeequ Billahi AB Travel and Tours — creating business linkages, mobility access, and economic opportunities
AKK Football Club — nurturing young talents, promoting sports development, and creating pathways for youth empowerment
These are not political promises — they are existing structures. They represent jobs created, lives impacted, and communities strengthened.
Recently, the Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK) House was unveiled — a multi-million-naira empowerment complex built to serve the people. When fully operational, it will include:
Youth Empowerment Office
SuccessLink Office (business support and interest-free loans)
Library and ICT Centre
Old People’s Club/Aged Support Centre
Disability Support Building
Farmers’ Palliative House
Women Affairs Club
Clinical Centre
This is leadership that invests before requesting votes.
Why Oyo Can Match Developed Societies
When I say Oyo people can live like Australians, I am speaking from experience.
A quality life is built on:
Functional security architecture
Transparent financial management
Industrial expansion
Agricultural modernization
Digital governance
Free and quality education
Structured healthcare delivery
Youth empowerment and sports development
These are policy choices — not miracles.
Oyo State does not lack potential. Oyo lacks coordinated, disciplined, reform-driven leadership with global exposure and local commitment.
Leadership With Genuine Interest
We must stop normalizing mediocrity.
We must stop believing that all politicians are the same.
God, in His power, makes individuals different. Leadership is about character, competence, and conviction.
If there will be a different day in Oyo State and Nigeria, it will require someone who understands systems, values accountability, fears God, and has already demonstrated capacity outside politics.
I believe that time is now.
I was born in Foko, Ibadan, into the Onibudo family. My roots are here. My values are here. My investments are here.
Oyo State does not need experimental governance. Oyo needs tested leadership.
A Call to the People
To those who have lost hope in politicians and resorted to constant condemnation, I say — rethink.
Be positive. Do not close your minds to the possibility of transformational leadership. Support credible leadership with your prayers, your voice, and your participation.
Together, we will laugh at the end.
AKK 2027 is not just a political ambition. It is a movement to redefine governance and leadership in Oyo State — and to set a new standard for Nigeria.
Our Realistic Tomorrow begins now. And I am ready to lead.
