The Committee Chairman of the Upgrade of Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan, and former Oyo State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Planning, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, has congratulated the Kishi Progressive Union World Wide Club on the successful and colourful celebration of this year’s Kishi Day, describing it as a remarkable display of unity, cultural pride, and community development.
Hon. Adekanmbi was ably represented at the celebration by Hon. Mathew Alani Oyeniyi, former Federal House of Representatives aspirant in Ibadan North Federal Constituency and the Aare of Akoboland, who delivered his goodwill message and extended warm congratulations to the organisers and the entire Kishi community.
In the message, Hon. Adekanmbi applauded the union for preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Kishi, noting that the celebration reflected the deep-rooted traditions, values, and strong communal bonds that continue to define the people of Oyo State.
He commended members of the Kishi Progressive Union World Wide Club for their unwavering commitment to cultural promotion, unity, and socio-economic development, adding that their efforts continue to inspire community-driven progress across the state.
The former Commissioner also celebrated the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, describing him as a distinguished and exemplary son of Oyo State whose dedication to public service and commitment to the progress of the state remain highly commendable.
According to him, “The development of every part of Oyo State is what is in my heart and what I will always cherish.
I remain committed to supporting initiatives that foster growth, unity, and sustainable development across our dear state.”
Hon. Adekanmbi further praised the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his numerous developmental achievements and for providing a peaceful and conducive environment that made the successful hosting of the celebration possible.
He reaffirmed his dedication to initiatives that promote infrastructural development, cultural preservation, and economic advancement throughout Oyo State, while encouraging other socio-cultural organisations to emulate the exemplary efforts of the Kishi Progressive Union World Wide Club.
