I was honoured to receive the prestigious Political Personality of the Year Award from Melody 100.7FM, Ibadan, during the station’s One-Year Anniversary Celebration held at the Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, opposite University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
Receiving this award at the well-attended anniversary event, I described the recognition as a strong endorsement of my people-centred leadership philosophy and the growing political momentum ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.
I dedicated the honour to everything that will be done differently in Oyo State when I am entrusted with the mandate to govern.
Speaking to guests, stakeholders, and supporters gathered at Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, I outlined key pillars of my development agenda, beginning with my commitment to establish industrial parks in each senatorial district to accelerate industrialisation, stimulate local production, and unlock massive employment opportunities.
I stated clearly that this initiative, combined with a comprehensive agricultural reform programme, will create over 100,000 jobs within the first two years of my administration.
On agriculture, I reaffirmed my pledge to boost productivity through the provision of modern agricultural machinery, targeted incentives for farmers, and structured support systems that will ensure food security and significantly improve rural livelihoods across Oyo State.
On security, I reiterated my resolve to deploy a modern, intelligence-driven security architecture, including surveillance cameras at strategic locations, technology-enabled policing, and strong community collaboration to safeguard lives and property across the state.
I reaffirmed that education remains the cornerstone of my vision for Oyo State. I restated my firm commitment to free and quality education for every child, irrespective of background, religion, location, or financial status.
I explained that my education policy draws inspiration from proven Western models, particularly parental incentives linked to school enrolment, which have increased access, reduced dropout rates, and strengthened accountability through reliable student data.
Beyond education, I unveiled plans to introduce interest-free loans for small and medium-scale businesses, targeting traders, artisans, entrepreneurs, and young business owners, while ensuring prudent, transparent financial management and a deliberate effort to limit excessive borrowing.
I noted that these and many other transformative initiatives are comprehensively captured in my policy blueprint, Our Realistic Tomorrow, which presents a practical and achievable roadmap for repositioning Oyo State through inclusive governance and sustainable development.
The anniversary ceremony also provided an opportunity for me to make a financial donation to support Melody 100.7FM, reinforcing my belief in leadership that listens, gives back, and stands firmly with the people.
I reassured the station of my unwavering commitment to building an Oyo State where opportunity is equal, hope is restored, and the future is secured for all.
I expressed my profound gratitude to the Chairman/CEO, Directors, Management, and Staff of Melody 100.7FM for conferring on me the Political Personality of the Year Award, describing the honour as a strong motivation to deepen my service to society, humanity, and community development.
I also congratulated the station on its successful one-year anniversary and sincerely appreciated Prophet Samuel Adebayo Ojo (Baba Authority) for the love, recognition, and goodwill.
