The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke has recorded another landmark achievement in grassroots development with the successful completion of Phase 1 of the local government-wide road grading project which commenced on January 19, 2026.
The initiative designed to restore neglected community roads and improve intra-community connectivity, covered multiple wards across Igboora and Idere. For years, several of these roads had remained in deplorable condition, restricting movement, slowing economic activities and posing safety concerns to residents.
The intervention has now reopened access routes, eased transportation, and revived commercial activities within affected communities.

Speaking on the conclusion of Phase 1, Hon. Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to practical, people-oriented governance driven by action rather than rhetoric.
“Our goal from day one has been to deliver visible and meaningful development to every ward in Ibarapa Central.
The successful completion of Phase 1 is proof that we are working with a clear plan, strong determination and commitment to the good people of Ibarapa Central. Phase 2 will commence soon to extend this progress further,” the Chairman stated.
Community leaders and residents across beneficiary wards have commended the Chairman’s proactive approach, describing the project as timely, impactful and reflective of responsive leadership.
Hon. Adeleke assured that his administration remains focused on sustaining the tempo of development, ensuring that no community is left behind in the ongoing infrastructure renewal agenda.
