







In a laudable demonstration of his unwavering commitment to education and human capital development, the Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Akinsete Olakunle, has purchased 50 free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms for indigent and education-loving residents of Ibadan South West Local Government.
The intervention, which has been widely applauded by stakeholders and residents, is aimed at easing the financial burden on parents while creating greater access to tertiary education for qualified youths within the local government area.
Speaking on the motivation behind the gesture, Hon. Akinsete Olakunle described education as a vital tool for shaping lives, building character, and securing a prosperous future for individuals and society at large.
He stressed that supporting young people in their educational pursuits remains one of the most impactful investments any leader can make.




According to him, the initiative is part of his resolve to contribute meaningfully to the educational development of Ibadan SouthWest Local Government, noting that no society can experience sustainable growth without ourselves prioritising education.
“Education is very vital in shaping one’s life and determining one’s future.
It is only right that we support our children and parents in this regard.
This is my own little way of giving back and contributing my quota to the educational advancement of Ibadan South West,” he stated.
Hon. Akinsete Olakunle, who hails from Ward 11, Constituency II of Ibadan South West Local Government, further urged the prospective beneficiaries to seize the opportunity with utmost seriousness.
He encouraged them to remain focused, disciplined, and studious, with a charge to come out in flying colours in their examinations and ultimately become responsible citizens who will positively impact society.
The beneficiaries and community members have since commended hon. Akinsete Olakunle for his foresight, generosity, and passion for youth empowerment, describing the initiative as timely and impactful, especially in the face of current economic realities.
