







Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, is set to host a landmark capacity-building workshop for event hosts and comedians as The MIC Conference, themed “Bridging Experience and Emerging Talents,” takes centre stage on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
The one-day conference, scheduled to hold from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Copacabana, Awolowo Avenue, Bodija, Ibadan, is designed to equip emerging and practicing Masters of Ceremony (MCs) and comedians with practical skills, industry insights, and professional guidance needed to thrive in the fast-evolving entertainment space.
According to the organisers, the conference will focus on critical areas such as understanding trends in the MC profession, personal branding and social media positioning, client acquisition and retention, effective collaboration with event planners and vendors, as well as common mistakes to avoid as an emerging MC or comedian.
The conference will feature an impressive lineup of seasoned professionals, with Demo Pumpin serving as the convener and moderator.




Other speakers include Caxton Martins, Mister Rain, and Doctor Frick, who will share firsthand experiences and actionable knowledge drawn from years of practice in the industry.
