








The Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade (ONALA), and the Oyo State House of Assembly member representing Ibadan North Constituency I, Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide, have reaffirmed the commitment of the local government and the state at large to peaceful coexistence, inclusive governance, and sustained unity among diverse communities in Ibadanland.
This assurance was conveyed during a congratulatory courtesy visit to the palace of the Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadanland, Sabo, Ibadan, by a high-powered delegation led by Hon. Olufunke Comforter and representatives of the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman.

Hon. Olufade was represented by the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Ibadan North Local Government, Mr. Olabode Ajebisi, who was accompanied by the Head of Media Unit to the Chairman, Mr. Aderibigbe Yisahu.
Hon. Olufunke Comforter’s delegation included notable political leaders and stakeholders such as Hon. Jumoke Alli, former Local Government S.A. Coordinator in Oyo State; Hon. Adeoye Tinuola; members of the Apex Team; and her Media Director, Akinsawe Musa (BOYO).

Upon arrival at the palace, the delegation was warmly received by Alhaji Danjuma, Chairman of the Council of Chiefs; the Councillor representing Sabo Ward 6, Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim Firah; the Ward 6 PDP Chairman; members of the PDP local executive; community leaders; and a large gathering of well-wishers.

The visit was to formally congratulate His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammad Dikko Shuiab III, on his well-deserved ascension to the revered throne of Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadanland, and to strengthen ties between government institutions and the Hausa community resident in Ibadan.

Speaking during the visit, the House of Assembly member representing Ibadan North Constituency I, Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide, emphasized that the Oyo State Government and Ibadan North Local Government, under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde and Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, remain resolute in promoting harmony, mutual respect, and inclusive development across all ethnic and religious divides.
She noted that both leaders have great respect for traditional institutions, irrespective of religion or tribe.
She further assured that her long-standing love and commitment to the Hausa community would never wane, stressing that as the people have consistently shown her love and support, they would continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy facilitated by her as their constituency representative.
Also speaking, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Olabode Ajebisi, representing the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, assured the community of the council’s continued support and contributions to the development and welfare of the Hausa community in the area.


In a show of goodwill, donations of two hundred thousand naira (₦200,000) each were presented to the palace on behalf of the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade (ONALA), and the Oyo State lawmaker, Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide, as symbols of respect, support, and solidarity with the traditional institution.

Responding, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammad Dikko Shuiab III, the Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadanland, expressed profound appreciation for the visit and the generous gestures, noting that such engagements further deepen cooperation between traditional authorities and government at all levels.

The Sarkin Hausawa assured the delegation of the continued support of the Hausa community toward sustaining peace, security, and socio-economic development in Ibadanland.
He commended the present administration for its positive impact on the community, affirmed that it deserves continued support at all times, and prayed for the sustained success of the administration.
