On Wednesday, Oyo State governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK), attended the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ engagement with party members in Lagelu–Akinyele, describing the meeting as a clear demonstration that the Oyo State APC is entering a new phase of strength, unity and purposeful organisation.
Speaking at the engagement, AKK thanked Almighty God for what he described as a new stage in the rebuilding of the APC in Oyo State, noting that the growing unity among party leaders, grassroots members and stakeholders across Lagelu and Akinyele is a strong signal of renewed confidence in the party’s future.
He stated that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ engagement aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing that unity, reconciliation and collective ideas must remain the foundation of the APC’s resurgence in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“I thank God for this new phase of our great party. The APC in Oyo State is becoming stronger by the day. What we are witnessing in Lagelu–Akinyele today is the power of unity, shared ideas and collective responsibility,” AKK said.
The governorship aspirant stressed that the journey to 2027 must be driven by the collective interest of the party and the people, rather than personal ambitions, adding that only a united APC can reclaim Oyo State and deliver inclusive, people-oriented governance.
AKK commended the Renewed Hope Ambassadors for their consistent grassroots engagement and mobilisation, describing their efforts as critical to strengthening party cohesion at the ward and local government levels.
He urged party members in Lagelu and Akinyele to remain steadfast, disciplined and focused on strengthening the APC, assuring them of his commitment to inclusive leadership, unity and progressive governance.
The engagement attracted party leaders, stakeholders, youth groups and grassroots members from across Lagelu and Akinyele Local Government Areas, all united in their resolve to strengthen the APC and advance the Renewed Hope vision in Oyo State.
