Oyo State Government Debunks 2026 Recruitment Claims, Warns Public Against Fake News

The Oyo State Government, through the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, has categorically debunked reports circulating online that the state has commenced a 2026 civil service recruitment exercise.

In an official statement issued by the Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Chief Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe, the Commission described the publication claiming that “Oyo State Government Recruitment 2026 has started” as false, misleading, and entirely unfounded.

The Chairman stressed that no recruitment exercise is currently ongoing in the Oyo State Civil Service and urged members of the public to disregard the report and the link being circulated, as it did not emanate from any authorized government channel.

Alhaji Aderibigbe further warned that such fake reports are often circulated by fraudsters seeking to exploit unsuspecting job seekers, cautioning the public not to fall victim to scams, illegal payments, or unofficial portals.

He emphasized that all legitimate recruitment information from the Oyo State Government will only be announced through official state platforms, including:

  • The official Oyo State Government website
  • Recognized newspapers
  • Accredited and verified media organizations

The Commission therefore advised job seekers and the general public to always verify information before sharing or acting on recruitment-related news and to rely solely on official government communications.

“Any recruitment information not issued through official Oyo State Government channels should be treated as fake,” the statement concluded.

Signed:
Alhaji Chief Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe
Chairman,
Oyo State Civil Service Commission
