In the spirit of unity, inclusiveness and shared prosperity, the Councillor representing Ward 2 in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Olasemo Temitope Oreofe, has successfully distributed New Year food items to Christian faithful within his ward.
The distribution followed the recent New Year foodstuff gesture by the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, who provided two bags of rice each to councillors across Wards 1 to 12 in the council area.
The councillors were directed to distribute the items to Christians in their respective wards, as a mark of fairness and equity, just as similar gestures are traditionally extended to Muslims during their festive periods.
True to this directive and his people-centred leadership style, Hon. Olasemo Temitope Oreofe ensured that the rice allocated to Ward 2 was promptly distributed to Christian residents in the area.
The exercise was carried out smoothly and transparently, reinforcing the values of religious harmony and compassionate governance.
The Ward 2 Councillor was joined during the distribution by the PDP Ward 2 Chairman, Alaga Moruf Adeleke, popularly known as “Eiye,” alongside other key party leaders and stakeholders in the ward, who all lent their support to the successful exercise.
The Christian beneficiaries expressed deep joy and gratitude to the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, for extending his hand of love and care to the Christian community.
They offered heartfelt prayers, asking God to continue to guide, protect and bless him with wisdom and strength to lead.
The recipients also lauded the quality and responsive representation of their councillor, Hon. Olasemo Temitope Oreofe, describing him as a true servant-leader who consistently prioritises the welfare of his constituents.
They prayed for God’s continued blessings, good health and greater accomplishments in his political journey.
