Oyo State APC governorship aspirant, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK), on Monday joined party leaders and stakeholders at a massive rally in Ogbomoso to reaffirm support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid and to strengthen mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The rally, held at the Soun Ogunlola Hall, Oja’gbo, Ogbomoso, was organised by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors led by Senator Teslim Folarin and attracted a wide array of APC leaders, elected officials, former office holders and grassroots mobilisers from across Oyo State.
Party leaders at the event reiterated their resolve to reclaim Oyo State in 2027, announcing plans for a statewide grassroots mobilisation tour across the seven geopolitical zones and fourteen federal constituencies.
Speaking at the rally, Oyo APC Chairman, Alhaji Olayide Abass, commended party members in Ogbomoso for their loyalty and organisational strength, urging sustained unity and intensified grassroots engagement.
Senator Teslim Folarin, in his keynote address, called on party members to take the Renewed Hope Agenda to the grassroots, expressing confidence that the APC would record total victory in 2027.
Other notable leaders in attendance included former Minister Sunday Dare, Senators Sarafadeen Alli, Yunus Akintunde, Ayoade Adeseun and Abdulfatai Buhari, former First Lady of Oyo State Mrs Florence Ajimobi, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Prince Kayode Oyewumi (Bayewuwon), and several other party chieftains.
The rally culminated in the formal endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, as well as the reception of hundreds of defectors from opposition parties across Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Ogo-Oluwa and Surulere local government areas.
The event ended with renewed calls for unity, peace and sustained mobilisation as the APC intensifies efforts to return to power in Oyo State in 2027.
