







The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, warmly received the Oyo State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Kayode Ola Peters, and his entourage on a courtesy visit to his office on Friday, in a meeting that showcased the strong collaboration between the local government and the NYSC Secretariat.

In his welcome address, Hon. Olufade described Ibadan North Local Government as the pacesetter among all local governments in Oyo State, emphasizing that the council continually upholds the high standards that have earned the state its enviable reputation.
He highlighted the NYSC Secretariat as a “good neighbor”, noting the harmonious relationship that has existed over the years.
The chairman assured the NYSC state coordinator of the council’s ongoing commitment to a robust and fruitful partnership.
Hon. Olufade also noted the significance of the visit as his Colleague, the executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen was also present .





He praised his colleague, hon. Mudashiru kamorudeen as a performing chairman, with Hon. Kamorudeen affirming that Ibadan North Local Government serves as the “landlord” of the Oyo State Government Secretariat and Government House.

In his remarks, Mr. Kayode Ola Peters lauded Hon. Olufade for his humility, vibrancy, and unwavering support for NYSC operations. He described Ibadan North Local Government as the “father and mother of all local governments in Oyo State” and commended the council for ensuring the safety and welfare of corps members.

The NYSC Coordinator also extended appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde for prioritizing youth development and the welfare of NYSC members in the state.

Mr. Ola Peters further commended Hon. Olufade for his generous contributions to NYSC initiatives, noting his donation of ₦1 million to ongoing projects at the NYSC camp in Iseyin and his influence in encouraging his colleague from Lagelu and Akinyele, to contribute likewise.
Speaking during the visit, Director of education and social services who has just been promoted to the position of Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaja Kudirat Nojimudeen, praised Hon. Olufade as a youth-friendly chairman whose dedication to NYSC welfare is unmatched.

She urged corps members to reciprocate his goodwill through discipline and excellence in service, prompting a heartfelt salute and show of gratitude from the corps members present.

Responding, Hon. Olufade assured the NYSC state coordinator of continued prioritization of corps members’ welfare.
He highlighted ongoing support from previous coordinators and LGIs and announced plans to donate a brand-new laptop to the LGI office to aid daily operations.

The chairman also disclosed that corps members serving in the Ibadan North Local Government Secretariat would receive Christmas packages, those on the council’s payroll would get their 13th-month stipend, and by January 2026, all 147 corps members would be fully integrated into the local government payroll.
Hon. Olufade concluded the meeting by expressing gratitude to the NYSC State Coordinator and his team for the visit, pledging to reciprocate their gesture in the spirit of continued partnership.

The Executive Chairman was joined by key members of the Ibadan North Local Government management, including Deacon Olabode Abayomi Ajebisi (Head of Local Government Administration, Ibadan North Local Government), Mrs. Olusola Ejiade (Director of Administration and General Services), Mr. Ajibola Rotimi Olawale (Director of Finance), Alhaja Kudirat Nojimudeen (Director of Education and Social Services), Mrs. Sanusi Victoria Oluwabukola (Auditor), Mrs. Lala (Information Officer), and other senior management staff.

The NYSC delegation included Mr. Adeniyi Ade-Ayeni (AD, Corps Welfare and Health Services), Dr. Babalola Solomon (AD Deployment and Relocation), Dr. Mrs. Ikusemor Olubunmi (LGI, Ibadan North), Abraham Adeyinka (Protocol Officer), and Balogun Olawale (Public Relations Officer).
This landmark visit reinforced Ibadan North Local Government’s reputation as a youth-friendly council, deeply committed to collaboration, safety, and welfare initiatives for NYSC members and the wider community.
