Ibadan was agog with excitement as Hon. Mogaji Oluwole Akinwale, a committed son of the soil, officially expressed his interest in representing the good people of Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

Driven by passion for service, integrity, and people-oriented leadership, Hon. Akinwale assured constituents of his readiness to offer purposeful representation that prioritises inclusive development, empowerment, and sustainable progress.

In a bold demonstration of his vision for economic empowerment and self-reliance, the aspirant has announced a fully sponsored, comprehensive training programme on small-scale Poultry and Fish Farming.

The initiative is designed to equip participants with practical, income-generating skills that will enable them to establish and manage sustainable agribusinesses.

The empowerment programme, which targets youths, women, and men across the constituency, is being organised in strategic collaboration with the Oyo State Women and Youth in Politics Awareness and Sensitization initiative, led by the dynamic and grassroots-focused Farmer Omolara Svensson.

According to the organisers, the training will hold over two days across the constituency to ensure wide participation:

  • Day One: Thursday, 18th December 2025 – Ibadan South East
  • Day Two: Friday, 19th December 2025 – Ibadan North East

Participants are expected to gain hands-on knowledge and practical insights into modern poultry and fish farming techniques, positioning them for economic independence and long-term prosperity.

Notably, the programme is 100 per cent free, as all costs are being fully borne by Hon. Mogaji Oluwole Akinwale, reaffirming his commitment to empowering the people beyond political promises.

Stakeholders and residents have described the initiative as timely and impactful, hailing it as a clear reflection of the aspirant’s people-first agenda and dedication to building a stronger, more prosperous Ibadan.

As momentum continues to build, many see this intervention as the beginning of a new chapter of responsive leadership and grassroots development for Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency.
