The Secretary of Ibadan North Local Government and Political Head of Irepodun LCDA, Oluwafemi Oladejo Bantu, has joined family members, political associates, and admirers across Oyo State in celebrating a highly respected father-figure and foremost PDP leader, Baba Ismaila Ashipa, as he marks his 71st birthday today.
In a heartfelt congratulatory message, Bantu described Baba Ashipa as “an intelligent, knowledgeable, and inestimably valuable leader whose life continues to shape the political landscape of Ibadan North and Oyo State at large.”
Bantu expressed profound pride in coming from the same political ward as the elder statesman, noting that Baba Ashipa’s towering influence has been a guiding light for many.
“It is a rare privilege and a blessing to come from the same ward as a leader of such depth, understanding, and integrity.
I am immensely proud of this heritage,” he said.
Recounting the fatherly role the renowned PDP chieftain has played in his political journey, Bantu thanked Baba Ashipa for allowing him to learn and grow under his mentorship.
“I sincerely appreciate you, sir, for giving me the opportunity to drink from your wealth of knowledge.
Your belief in me has strengthened my resolve to serve with humility, loyalty, and dedication,” he stated.
Describing him as the Number One PDP Leader in Ibadan North and a stabilizing force in Oyo State’s political arena, Bantu praised Baba Ashipa’s unwavering commitment to party unity, grassroots mobilization, and good governance.
As Baba Ashipa clocks 71, Bantu offered special prayers for the statesman, asking God to continue to uphold and enrich him.
