





The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, on Thursday received the Area Commander of Moniya/Akinyele, Assistant Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Olusola Oyewole, on a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening security collaboration across the council area.

The meeting, held at the Chairman’s Agodi office, had in attendance the management team of Ibadan North Local Government, including the Head of Local Government Administration, Deacon Olabode; the Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs. Ejiade; and other Heads of Departments.

Welcoming the Area Commander, Hon. Olufade described Ibadan North as “the heartbeat of all Local Governments in Oyo State,” noting that over 70% of key institutions and activities that make Oyo the Pacesetter State are domiciled within the Local Government.

He commended ACP Oyewole for the exceptional leadership he has shown since assuming office, adding that his professionalism has further strengthened the security architecture within the area command.
The Chairman also showered encomiums on the Divisional Police Officer of Sango Police Station, CSP Adeshina Olatunji, who operates under Ibadan North Local Government.





He praised the DPO for his responsiveness to security issues, saying:
“CSP Adeshina’s awards were not handed to him but earned through hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property.”

In his remarks, ACP Emmanuel Olusola Oyewole expressed deep appreciation to the Chairman and the Local Government management for the warm reception.
He commended Hon. Olufade for the developmental strides being recorded across the Local Government, noting that he had personally witnessed the Chairman’s support to security agencies, especially at the Sango Police Division.
Describing Sango Division as “the heartbeat of all police divisions in Oyo State,” he reaffirmed that the DPO’s exceptional record is no surprise, having emerged Best DPO in the Southwest for three consecutive years.
ACP Oyewole further highlighted that Ibadan North Local Government hosts numerous higher institutions which ordinarily increases crime rates but yet crime levels remain remarkably low in Ibadan north local government.
“Ibadan North is working, and its security situation is under firm control,” he said.
He assured the Chairman of the Area Command’s unflinching commitment to protecting lives and property and appealed for continued support from the Local Government.

In his closing remarks, Hon. Olufade expressed gratitude for what he described as an “August visit in November,” acknowledging its timeliness given national security realities.
He emphasized the need for continuous strategic collaboration to keep communities safe, adding that the people now have renewed confidence in the police because of the improved service delivery within the command.

Hon. Olufade also reaffirmed the Local Government’s unwavering support for all police divisions within its jurisdiction.
The Head of Local Government Administration, Deacon Olabode, delivered the vote of thanks and prayed for God’s guidance and success for ACP Oyewole throughout his tenure.

The visit was rounded off with the signing of the Visitors’ Book by the Area Commander.
